Copyright Statement, IJMJ
In order to protect the legal rights and interests of both the journal and authors, and in addition to clarify the copyright property and ownership of the journal and authors, the following statement regarding manuscript copyright is made:
The authors declare that they have not submitted the paper for publication anywhere else and that the submitted article has not been published previously. [Please refer to Authors Agreement form available on the website.
For any manuscript submitted to the journal, the authors should declare that their submitted paper is their own original work, it does not infringe any rights or disclose any secrets, and that no disputes of intellectual property shall arise in relation to the ranking of author names, and it does not contain or include material taken from other copyrighted sources. Wherever such materials have been included, they must be clearly identified by quotation marks and/or proper citation of such sources.
After publication in the journal, authors retain the copyright of articles. Authors transfer the copyright to the journal to publish the article, use it for indexing, and storing on the journal website for public use.
International Journal of Medical Justice [IJMJ] also supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative. Thus, the open access policies adopted by the editorial board of International Journal of Medical Justice [IJMJ] can be found at http://budapestopenaccessinitiative.org. GLAFIMS ASSOCIATION as signatory of Budapest Open Access Initiative hence the IJMJ is binding with the regulations.
International Journal of Medical Justice [IJMJ] publishes manuscripts under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) . Under the CC BY license, authors retain the copyright to their work while granting others the right to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work, as well as make derivative works based on it. All published articles, papers, and materials in the International Journal of Medical Justice, IJMJ are therefore freely accessible and shareable, provided appropriate attribution is given to the original authors. Open access is an approach that eases the interdisciplinary communication and encourages cooperation among different disciplines. International Journal of Medical Justice [IJMJ], therefore, contributes to its own field by providing more access to its articles and a more transparent review process.
Under the Creative Commons end user license, the readers can reuse portions or extracts from the published article in their works by including attribution to the original work and its author.
The International Journal of Medical Justice holds the copyright to the , including all published articles and content. However, International Journal of Medical Justice acknowledges the critical role of authors in contributing to the scholarly discourse within the journal.
Authors retain the copyright to their individual contributions to the International Journal of Medical Justice. By submitting their work for publication, authors grant International Journal of Medical Justice the exclusive right to publish and distribute their manuscript. This includes the right to make the work available online and in print, as well as the right to sublicense, reproduce, and distribute the work.
Authors are free to reuse, republish, and distribute their own work for non-commercial purposes without seeking permission from International Journal of Medical Justice, provided proper attribution is given to the original publication in the International Journal of Medical Justice.
International Journal of Medical Justice appreciates the contributions of authors and remains committed to maintaining a fair and respectful relationship with them while upholding the standards of scholarly publishing.
Scientific and legal responsibility of the published articles belongs to the authors. Authors are responsible for the ideas and comments in the manuscript as well as the accuracy of the references. Editor in Chief/Assistant Editor in Chief/ Managing Editors, the Editor, and the Associate Editors or any member of Editorial Board do not accept any responsibility for the published articles.
SUPPLEMENTS: Supplementary documents (additional figures, materials & methods, tables, or other items that add to the topic of the article but cannot be included within the main text) can be uploaded to the journal submission system. They may include files that are not printable, such as videos or long gene sequences.

Corresponding Author, Co-Authorship
Only individuals who significantly contributed to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the reported study should be given the privilege of authorship. When additional people contributed to the research study in a meaningful way, they should be acknowledged or identified as contributors. The final version of the work has been seen by all co-authors, who have given their approval and consent to its submission for publication.
If the article was jointly prepared by more than one author, any author submitting the manuscript warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to be agreed on this copyright and license notice (agreement) on their behalf and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this policy.
The journal will not be held liable for anything that may arise due to the author(s) internal dispute. The journal will only communicate with the corresponding author.
Conflict of Interest Statement
The International Journal of Medical Justice defines a conflict of interest as “anything that interferes with or could reasonably be perceived as interfering with, the full and objective presentation, commissioning, peer review, editorial decision-making, or publication of research or non-research articles […]. A conflict of interest exists if a person or institution has a relationship, personal or otherwise, which has the potential to compromise or in any way interfere with professional objectivity or judgment in issues related to the relationship.”
Authors are not the only stakeholders who may have biases or competing interests. It is just as important for editors, editorial board members, and reviewers to disclose any potential conflicts of interest at all stages of the publication process.
