Manuscript Handling Charges (MHC) Policy, IJMJ
The International Journal of Medical Justice (IJMJ) adheres to ethical publishing standards and editorial policies recommended by ICMJE, COPE, WAME, and major indexing databases including Scopus, ISI Clarivate, PubMed, and Index Copernicus. The following policy governs our manuscript handling charges:
1.
No Submission Fee:
Manuscript submission is free of charge. Authors are not required to pay
any fee at the submission stage.
2.
Post-Acceptance Charges Only:
A Manuscript Handling Charge (MHC) of INR 5000 is applicable only
after a manuscript has successfully undergone peer review and received a
formal acceptance letter.
3.
Premature Payment Clause:
Any MHC submitted prior to formal acceptance will be held by the journal.
In case of rejection, 50% of the fee will be refunded after deduction of
applicable taxes and transaction charges.
4.
Launch Period Waiver (2023–2024):
To promote academic engagement, MHC is waived for all authors during the
first two years of the journal's launch (2023–2024), as per a resolution by
the Board of Directors.
5.
GLAFIMS Association Member Benefits:
Life Members of the GLAFIMS Association are entitled to a 50% waiver on
MHC.
6.
Scholarship and Financial Waivers:
Authors may apply for financial assistance, partial or full MHC waivers through
the official form:

Editorial Discretion:
The Editor-in-Chief or designated Editor may grant waivers for
manuscripts deemed of high academic, clinical, or social impact.
8.
Final Authority Clause:
The decision of the Editor-in-Chief/Editor is final and binding in all
matters related to manuscript handling, waiver decisions, and policy
interpretation.
9.
Policy Updates:
This policy is subject to revision or update without prior notice. The
most current version is available on the journal website:

The International Journal of Medical Justice (IJMJ) is financially supported through a multi-source funding model to ensure operational transparency and editorial independence. These sources include:

· Membership Fees collected by GLAFIMS Association
· Voluntary Donations from patrons of medical justice, science, and academic research
· Funding and Grants from government and non-governmental bodies, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations
Editorial decisions remain independent and are not influenced by funding sources.
